Are We The Temple of God?

Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

Before I start; I need to let you know that in the Original Greek there are TWO words that are translated in the KJV English as “temple” Those are “HIERON” G2411 when speaking of Herod’s Temple and “NAOS” G3485 when speaking of the Holy Place or The Body of Christ.

So I will label them big T for the Holy Place/Body of Christ and little t for Herod’s temple.

“I don’t want to bore you with laying out the Hebrew in the Old Testament, but here are a few verses that will help fulfill the theme of what the above Greek shows.”

Jer 7:4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD. The temple of the LORD, are these.

Isa 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where is the house that ye build unto Me? and where is the place of My rest?

Zec 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and He shall grow up out of his place, and HE shall build the Temple of the LORD:

*This is Jesus, the Body of Christ.

Zec 6:13 Even he shall build the Temple of the LORD; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon His throne; and He shall be a Priest upon His throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

*This is Jesus, the Body of Christ.

Zec 6:15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the Temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

*This is Jesus, the Body of Christ.

Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His Temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: Behold, He shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

*This is indeed Jesus! And We Are HIS Temple!

**WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD.**
