The Resurrection, The Visitation and the Great Commission are all documented within the 16th Chapter of the Gospel of Mark.
In this article; I’m going to break down the 16th Chapter of Mark, which is the oldest of the four Gospel accounts, by about 15 years. In fact all four of the Gospels were written around 15 years apart from one another, with Mark being the first, Matthew the second, Luke the third, and lastly the Gospel of John being added between 90-100 CE. I often like to dig into the Gospel of Mark because the FATHER allowed THAT to be the FIRST account to ever be circulated concerning the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ. As a theologian, I have learned that what lies at the origins of a witness testimony, is the very KEY to understanding the original communication from God to His people. Pay special attention to the sequence of events, and WHAT they represent to the first readers of this Gospel Message of Jesus Christ.
The Gospel of Mark, Chapter 16 (Greek to English translation without fillers)
Mark 16:1 And the Sabbath was in between it’s occurring when Mary Magdalene and Mary of James, and Salome, had purchased sweet spices, in order that they may go and anoint Him.
Mark 16:2 And early in the morning of that Sabbath, they went to the sepulcher at the rising of the sun.
Mark 16:3 And they said among themselves “Who will roll away for us, the stone from the door of the sepulcher?”
Mark 16:4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away already, and it was exceedingly large.
Mark 16:5 And upon entering into the sepulcher they saw a young man seated on it’s right side, surrounded in and clothed in bright light and they were frightened.
Mark 16:6 But he said to them “Don’t be afraid: You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified: He has RISEN and is NOT here: LOOK, this is the place where they placed Him”
Mark 16:7 “Nevertheless, withdraw yourself from this place and tell His disciples and Peter, that he is to lead you into Galilee, and it’s there that you will SEE HIM as He told you.”
Mark 16:8 And they came out from that place quickly fleeing from the sepulcher; and they began to tremble with fear, so much so, that they had were overwhelmed: and they said NOTHING to NO ONE because of their FEAR.
Mark 16:9 BUT appearing earlier on first of the Sabbath, He manifested FIRST to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He cast seven devils.
Mark 16:10 And she went out ahead and brought the WORD that she had been with Him and that they had mourned and wept.
Mark 16:11 And those hearing that He was alive and had been seen by her, believer her not.
Mark16:12 After this, He appeared in another form to two among them, as they walked, and traveled into the country.
Mark 16:13 And they went and told it to all the remnant: and not even THEY believed them.
Mark 16:14 After this He appeared to the eleven as they all ate together and disgraced them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed NOT those that had seen Him after He had risen.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and herald the Gospel to everyone created.
Mark 16:16 If they BELIEVE and are baptized they will be saved; but those that BELIEVE NOT will be condemned.
Mark 16:17 And THESE signs will follow after those that BELIEVE; In My name with will cast out devils; they will speak in tongues;
Mark 16:18 They will endure serpents; and if they drink what would cause certain death, it shall not harm them; and they will lay their hands on the weak and uphold them honorably.
Mark 16:19 Then after the Lord spoke this to them, He was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right side of God.
Mark 16:20 And they went forth and were heralds everywhere and the Lord worked together with them and confirmed the Word with signs that followed. Amen.
Did you notice that in the story that we’ve all been taught; that it never mentioned that Mary Magdalene got there earlier than the others and actually saw, wept and mourned with Jesus? Also, did you notice that in the story we’ve all been taught; that it fails to mention that the two female witnesses, Mary of James and Salome, that came to the sepulcher AFTER Mary Magdalene’s encounter with Jesus, were far too overwhelmed and stricken with FEAR to say anything to anyone? Thank the Lord that Jesus had Mary get there before the rising of the sun on THAT first Sabbath day of THE New Covenant sealed by the precious blood of the Lamb. It went down the way it did for a divine reason. You just need to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what these events mean for the future readers the Father had in mind, to comprehend. For those that are chosen, it will unfold right before your eyes as you pray and seek His face.
I pray this has helped open you eyes and better reveal the Message of Jesus Christ to you.
God Bless you, Be Free and Set Free in Jesus Name~
