The word Rapture is a word you will not find in the Bible. The reason for this is; Satan the adversary of all Truth, interwove YEAST among the teachings of the Word of God. He devised a teaching that tells people “you will be plucked up and removed from any of the punishments that God has predestined for this earth.” This is FALSE, and I am about to break it down for you in such a way that you will not be able to nay-say or refute. Ready for it? lol!
False teachers used the word Harpazo G726 to build this false teachings upon, and it means: to seize, or carry off by force or to be caught up into the spiritual realm. Not a physical snatching away to heaven.
This word Harpazo is used exactly 13 times in the New Testament. I am about to break down every verse it is used in and in WHAT CONTEXT it was written in.
13 occurrences of this word, WHY am I not surprised?
Matt 11:12 “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven suffered violence inflicted upon them, BUT the violent are *carried off by FORCE!”
*So as you can see here the violent are to be being carried off by FORCE, those that have oppressed the KINGDOM of heaven with violence, are repaid with violence by being carried off in the spirit of Elijah, which was on John the Baptist, BY FORCE.
Mat 13:19 “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked ones, and *takes away by force that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”
The enemy or wicked one is plural. Jesus uses the word birds in Mat 13:4 in the parable, not a single bird, so it translates as *the birds (Hello Twitter) that comes to take away by force the kingdom from you. THEY are the ones that are sent to distract you with the cares of this world and take away by force the kingdom Truth planted in your heart.
John 6:15 “When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and *take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.”
Here Jesus uses the word Harpazo to show these people want their bellies full and their desires met, THAT is why they want ME to be their KING, not because I AM the Son of God. That is why he would depart to a place of solitude away from people until that desire to *take Him by FORCE and make him king passed. It was for all the wrong reasons.
John 10:12 “But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf *carries off by force, and scattereth the sheep.”
The WOLF, the worker of evil, the enemy *carries off by force the sheep of God’s flock and scatters them.
John 10:28 “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man *carry them off by force from out of my hand.”
No MAN can *carry THEM off by force from out of HIS hand.
John 10:29 “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
No MAN can *carry THEM off by force from out of HIS hand.
There are exactly 6 occurrences in the New Testament where the word Harpazo G726 is spoke by Jesus HIMSELF. 6 the number of man.
THESE are the verses I want us all to pay special attention to, because they are HIS WORDS.
Acts 8:39 “And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord *carried off Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”
The word Harpazo is used in the context of being urgently called away, like being forcefully and quickly pulled away from an intense conversation with someone. The eunuch saw him no more when he came up out of the water. We don’t know how LONG the Holy Spirit had him under that water. It was enough time for Philip to be *carried off by the Holy Spirit to another spiritual assignment.
Acts 23:10 “And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to *take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.”
Are you beginning to see a consistent THEME running here of what this word HARPAZO means?
2 Cor 12:2 “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such a man was *carried off to the third heaven.”
The Third Heaven is the Spiritual Realm. There are 3 realms the Bible speaks of. The 1st heaven is THE SKY and the entire expanse of the SKY we see, and the 2nd heaven is everything beyond what we can see in outer space and the universe. The 3rd heaven is the SPIRITUAL REALM it is where we are seated with JESUS in HEAVENLY PLACES, that the Bible speaks of in Eph 2:6. So, Paul is telling us of an experience where he was carried off quickly and forcefully into the Spiritual Realm and saw un-expressible things that he could not speak of.
1Thes 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be *carried away together with them in the *cloud, to meet the Lord in the *air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
The word cloud nephelē G3507 is singular and not plural. Also it used in verses that use it in a non literal way. Example:
“Since we have such a GREAT CLOUD of witnesses” Heb 12:1
“These are wells without water, CLOUDS that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.” 2 Pet 2:17
“These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: CLOUDS they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;” Jude 1:12
So, as I have just proven here is that just because is SAYS cloud, does not mean it is referring to an ACTUAL cloud.
I would also like to draw attention to the use of the word AIR in the verse above in 1 Thes 4:17.
AIR in Greek is the word aēr G109 and it is used in scriptures when they are describing the lower denser air of the atmosphere that surrounds the earth, distinguished apart from the higher and rarer air. Which is described in Greek as the word ouranos G3772 and means: the vaulted expanse of the sky with all things visible in it, the universe, the world.
So as you can see there is NOT one single occurrence in the Scriptures that supports a teaching that people are going to be Raptured out of harms way and the Judgments spoken of in God’s Word to purge His people and bring forth good fruits, WORTHY of REPENTANCE.
THERE IS SPACE TO REPENT all the way up to chapter 16 of the book of Revelation. The shaking is to bring about our REPENTANCE.
Rev 16:9 And men were SCORCHED with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented NOT to give HIM GLORY.
This is enough evidence that the teaching of the Rapture is not biblical.
